By the word deception you could understand that something deceit, tricky and false pricing is involved. It involves pricing gimmicks by retailers to make customers believe they are getting a good deal when they are actually not. For a better understanding, let’s have an example. When a company finds difficulty in selling products, they usually start going-out-of-business sale or a bankruptcy discounts for clearing the shelves more easily.

 So, when next time you see your favorite dress or shoes at the lowest prices, don’t just hop into the shop. Remember, it’s just a trick to make customers think they got an amazing offer. Generally, an article is marked up 50% before selling to public. In case the price is marked high by 100% for some days and then it is putted on 25% off, then it is certain that retailer is fooling the customers. Business owners do a violation of civil codes by making false price reductions. Since, there are laws against deceptive business practices, even you can report to the attorney or any local legal assistance office when suspect a dishonest pricing.



The bottom line is unusual saving offers are made just to mislead the public, one must be careful while becoming a part of such sales. Sometimes, taxes are hided to make the price look cheaper or asterisks are used in sales advertisements. Such acts are known as pricing games which you must avoid to protect yourself from falling into the category of careless shoppers. Because of the foolish shopping habits of public, many companies are able to do all year round business, grabbing a huge profit annually. The best method to make sure that what you are paying is for actual price only, rely on companies which follow honest pricing policy.
